Dining Student Storekeeping Assistant (Receiver)

Description:
The Receiver/Stocker position within Dining Services will be hired and assigned to work in Residential Dining operations, which includes Pavilion and Yablokoff-Wallace Dining Center. Within the operation that you are hired for, this entry level student position will be responsible for receiving food and food supplies for Residential Dining operations. Taking direction from the Staff Storekeeper, this position will ensure food is received to health and safety standards and proper storage and inventory of product in the facility. Position may require driving of university equipment such as golf carts and department trucks, vans.
Qualifications:
• Must have ability to lift frequently in this position
• Must have availability in early mornings
• Valid Driver's License is preferred
• Must be a UC Merced student with at least 2 years left before graduating
• Good balance of coursework so that you can commit to at least 14-18 hours per week (maximum hours per week are likely but not guaranteed for this position)
• Flexible schedule working before, after or in between classes as well as weekends and some Holidays such as Presidents’ Day
• Ability to take direction and adhere to training guidelines
• Positive attitude, team player
• Ability to work independently
*Will receive Food Handler Certification upon employment
