Description:
The Student Cook position within Dining Services will be hired and assigned to work in Residential Dining operations, which includes Pavilion and Yablokoff-Wallace Dining Center. The position will be working in the kitchen assisting Culinary Staff with meal preparation for Dining Services operations. Including but not limited to, food preparation, assisting with cooking meal components, cleaning and organizing kitchen prep areas, covering staff on serving lines, some dishwashing, some receiving, and other duties as assigned. Potential for promotion and growth!

Qualifications:
• Must be a UC Merced student with at least 1 years left before graduating
• Good balance of coursework so that you can commit to at least 14-18 hours per week (maximum hours per week are likely but not guaranteed for this position)
• Flexible schedule, must be available to work weekends
• Ability to take direction and adhere to training guidelines
• Positive attitude, team player
• Ability to work independently

*Will receive Food Handler Certification upon employment
